I was such on an emotional roll lately when I read this book. I must admit I caught a glimpse of the last part of the book before I started reading it and I felt tears well up. So, I put my big girl panties on and started this powerful story. Georgia and Sean’s story started out when they were kids and spanned throughout their life. I’m not going to speak much of the plot, but I can say that the ending was really hard for me. I cried so hard, it was so painful. It was such an emotional read that there were parts where I had to stop.
Moving on, what I liked about the book is that it was a complete story, though I’m pretty sure I’d be waiting for the sequel to this. I have an idea on who it’s going to be about but I won’t say it for fear of ruining the story for others who haven’t read this yet.
Some of my issues: I felt that the way Sean professed his love for Georgia during the start of their relationship didn’t quite fit his age, like he was an old man inside a young boy’s body sort. His statements were too deep and emotional for a teenage kid. Though I loved Sean, his character is beautiful along with Cam. I cannot say the same for Georgia; I felt that she is selfish for her own good. There were also lots of spelling and grammatical errors. But these minor issues didn’t take away the beauty of the story.
This book is highly recommended to those who loved the Emi’s Lost and Found series by Lori Otto.
